Presently, I have installed the Nvidia 30.82 over the driver that XP installed during setup, so I assume that if I uninstall 30.82 from AR programs, XP will revert back to the bundled driver. You could get the unstable nvidia-glx source package and build it using Stable tools. Might not work, though, because the latest nvidia drivers are built with modern tool versions. I found many useful how-to's to updating the driver (Esp. in the RedHat Yahoo group and NVidia Website) My question is, in the meantime I got X to run very nicely by picking another NVidia card (Quatro something I think).
